Speaking at the FTTHC Asia Pacific Conference in Melbourne
I have been invited to present at the Fiber to the Home Council Asia Pacific Conference in Melbourne, Australia on May 19th. They even put a photo of me on the website.
I am currently trying to learn Australian in anticipation of the trip.
The title of my presentation is "Utilities, Municipalities, Independent Telcos, and MSOs: Status of the Second Tier U.S. FTTH Market". A better title would probably have been "Believe it or not, there is something going on with FTTH in the U.S. outside of Verizon", but that sounds less professional. Highlights will include examples, challenges, opportunities, and the impact of the stimulus package (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) on fiber deployment. It should be a quite interesting session, if you're into those type of things.
So, if you are going to be in the greater Melbourne area around the 19th, please stop by and say hello (or the Australian equivalent).
