Digital City Expo
I will be speaking at the Digital City Expo in Washington, DC on April 18th. There is a rather scary photograph (taken by my lovely wife) and bio of me posted here.
The talk will be about FTTH technology in Japan and how that can be applied to FTTH deployments in the US. There are over 1 million people in Japan with fiber to their homes. They are getting 100Mbps bi-directional service. Yowza! Makes that 3Mbps upgrade from your local cable company look a bit silly, doesn't it?
For those who saw me talk on a similar subject last year at the FTTHC show, this will be an updated version of that presentation with slightly more focus on lessons for municipalities.
